murder mystery

This is the story of a town called Baberton. Located in England, somewhere North of London, this town is often overlooked and forgotten. It was nothing but a pretty little town, with pretty little people, hiding their pretty little secrets.

Then eighteen year old Annie Pierce’s body was discovered buried in the woods, six years after her mysterious highly public disappearance.

Imogen Ford was one of Annie's best friends in high school and is heartbroken over the realisation that her friend is dead.

Not just dead - murdered.

The day of Annie's funeral throws everything into a tailspin when Imogen receives a strange, anonymous text message claiming to be from someone who knows who killed her friend.

From there, Imogen finds herself embarking on a journey for the truth, but finds herself unsure who she can trust - including herself.

Who killed Annie? Who is sending Imogen these mysterious texts about what happened "That Night"? Is it possible that they are the same person?

Imogen best be careful because once she starts digging... she might not like what she unearths.

romantasy

A 'Beauty and the Beast' inspired retelling set in the fantasy world of Amarar.

Far in the north of the world, on the Golden Isle, the Elf King Thalian sits upon his throne, his people and his kingdom isolated from the rest of the world following a great personal tragedy.

One day he takes Amaya, a farm girl from a nearby village, prisoner after she travels through the treacherous Golden Wood in search of her missing father.

What begins as a terrifying ordeal soon starts to morph into something quite different, something that neither elf or human would have ever expected, even as both of their worlds violently collide.

Can Amaya, a mere mortal girl, truly melt the ice encased heart of an Elvenking?

And even if she could would it matter when, in the end, one is immortal and one is not...

[A Secret Summer] "What an engaging thriller! I was hooked from the beginning until the very end and had trouble putting it down because I was dying to know what happened! Who killed Annie Pierce? The big question of the novel that the reader never stops wondering as they follow Imogen's investigation. I didn't see the plot twist coming, and I was delighted by the surprise of it. Most of all, though, I was struck by how much of my own high school experience this novel dug up for me. My circle of friends was nothing like Imogen's, and I never attended any parties or had any mysteries happen like what happen during A Secret Summer, but Rachel Louise Finn perfectly grasps the balance between nostalgia for those younger, more naive days and the alarming reality of what those years as a teenager truly meant. A Secret Summer is a fantastic, gripping summer thriller that didn't disappoint for a single second!"

[A Secret Summer] "Really really enjoyed this book! Very suspenseful from beginning to end. I really didn’t see the twist at the end coming at all, which was great. Definitely recommend if you’re a fan of the murder mystery/suspense genre!"

[The Heart of the Elf King] "What a sweet wonderful book! No bad words, no sex. Just a sweet, love story. If you're looking for a low stress book without any other woman drama, this is it. Very cute."
