[A Secret Summer] "What an engaging thriller! I was hooked from the beginning until the very end and had trouble putting it down because I was dying to know what happened! Who killed Annie Pierce? The big question of the novel that the reader never stops wondering as they follow Imogen's investigation. I didn't see the plot twist coming, and I was delighted by the surprise of it. Most of all, though, I was struck by how much of my own high school experience this novel dug up for me. My circle of friends was nothing like Imogen's, and I never attended any parties or had any mysteries happen like what happen during A Secret Summer, but Rachel Louise Finn perfectly grasps the balance between nostalgia for those younger, more naive days and the alarming reality of what those years as a teenager truly meant. A Secret Summer is a fantastic, gripping summer thriller that didn't disappoint for a single second!"
